Rimarks Consultants seconded experts to the National Economic Council of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) from January 2017 to December 2019. The team worked on fiscal decentralization in Somalia and recently produced a paper on the impact of COVID-19 on the Somali economy. In 2019 the team was contracted by the World Bank to assist the FGS to develop Somalia Interim Poverty Reduction Strategy (IPRSP) that was used to negotiate debt relief for the country.
