Governance and Development Work

We have expertise in the following specific subjects:

1. Devolution – we have thorough understanding of the governance process and key players in the Kenyan context, hence excellent in designing, delivering, managing and supporting civic education programmes in Africa and Kenya in particular. We have been supporting counties from 2013 to date on several items some of which are similar to this assignment. The best examples are in reviews and development of County Integrated Development Plans – CIDPs (governance, planning and M&E), supporting performance contracting (HRM) and in sectorial policy issues like drought management.

2. Civic education (and public participation) programmes – Planning and designing delivery frameworks and implementation strategies for programmes geared towards delivering rights based public education aimed at improving people’s civic awareness; promoting citizen’s engagement in legislative (including constitution making) processes; and/or promoting public participation and democratic controls in development initiatives. The most livid example would be in supporting Wajir County this year in the end term review of its first generation CIDP and in the development of its second generation CIDP:

3. Facilitating numerous training, strategy development, programme planning and evaluation workshops;

4. Synthesis of data and information to produce high level analytical reports;
